I am requesting two bell kits for my percussionists which will allow them an opportunity of how to read and perform music notation which a percussion instrument that is very essential. For my orchestra and mariachi classes rosin and shoulder rests that are essential for everyday playing are in high demand since most of my students have not been able to obtain it. For my band classes reeds are an essential supply for clarinet players that are needed to play the instrument. And lastly I am requesting books that will be used to teach my choir students to be musically literate and be introduced to new repertoire.
By donating, you will give my students one less thing to worry about when it comes to the expensive world of music and accessories and allow them to fully concentrate on what they work extremely hard everyday on: music.
My students have difficulties affording or getting to the music stores to obtain the necessary materials to succeed. With this, you'll be supporting not just one class, but all my 175 students in six different classes that are Beginning band, Intermediate band, Beginning orchestra, Marichi, and two Choir classes.
