Third grade science curriculum has an emphasis on simple machines. It’s my hope to organize an “Invention Convention” to give my student’s an audience to show off their projects. Young children are born with a natural curiosity to figure out how things works. The Kynex and Think Fun simple machine building kits and supplies will give me the essential tools I need to implement student-centered and project-based learning opportunities. The logic games are powerful tools to help students develop crucial critical thinking skills and problem-solving strategies. I believe that by giving them the resources to imagine, build, create and demonstrate they are empowered to expand their ability to problem solve, collaborate with others and build skills to promote success in a 21st century work force.
