By today's standards, many of my students come to my Kindergarten classroom already delayed in their learning. This is due mostly to the lack of school experiences stemming from limited resources at home. Although many have never used a computer when they come to me, most have used some sort of smart device. This project will provide access to five Kindle Fire tablets, complete with protective covers and headphones, in reading and math workshop. With thousands of apps available, the use of tablets in my classroom will allow all learners to be reached at their skill level. Technology is a wonderful motivator for students and can bridge educational gaps.
