"The more you read, the more you'll know" is truly applicable to my 3rd grade class. Almost all of my students entered their 3rd grade year at a below grade level reading level. Over the past 3 months I have seen tremendous growth just by my students reading the few books that I have purchased. As a first year teacher, who is working in a low-income school, that lacks a library, it is so very difficult to give my students the resources that they need to succeed. These books would not only foster a love for reading, but also light a fire within my students to become all that they are capable of being!!
