Music & The Image is a class that allows students to spend time creating. Students compose music in Garageband and use iMOVIE to create multimedia presentations. The students are collaborative, creative, and using 21st Century skills to digitally tell stories. Currently, we have groups of 5-6 students per computer. It is very difficult for all students to participate fully under these conditions. The are huddled over computer, and the fifth student seems to be left out. An additional computer will allow more students hands-on time creating. This class empowers students. They challenge themselves and their peers. They are learning technology, but more importantly, they are learning technologic skills and problem-solving.
