When I arrived at my school I was somewhat dismayed by the lack of lab equipment available for my students. Hands-on labs are a critical part of any science course, and the lack of equipment has made many labs a challenge, others impossible. I spent my first year and a half trying to avoid any lab that required students to collect mass data, but that is no longer an option. Electronic scales will allow my students to complete labs that require collection of masses during labs. The dissection kits will allow my students to explore anatomies of organisms beyond pictures and videos, or demonstrations by the teacher.
