From the start of the year, my scholars have shown an immense interest in learning how to solve a Rubik's Cube. As a "Cube" aficionado, I have brought in all kinds of sizes and shapes to show my students, and I would love to pass on my passion to them. Not only are they a wonderful way to engage the mind and inspire creativity, they also help scholars to wrap their minds around 3 dimensional objects and concepts. An Apple Ipad would help teach the students step by step instructions in not only solving their cubes, but also in other aspects of the classroom. It would improve student participation by being able to bring the board to them, it would elevate their technology interactions, and grab the attention of even the most unassuming student. Bringing technology into the classroom could also be achieved by the electronic math facts digital capabilities. Helping to save the environment as well as giving repetition to struggling students is one way that this number cruncher will benefit my classroom for years to come!
