I am looking for ways to inspire my students in math and hopefully expand their world. What I would love to see in my classroom is a mix between paper and screen. The number of Chromebooks I need is actually 16 to allow 1:1, but 8 would allow 2:1 use which would work. I currently use interactive notebooks in math and my kids love it. I would like to be able to use the Chromebooks to practice and assess the students’ on grade level concepts but especially use it for remediation, hopefully helping to close the gap. If we are able to get the Chromebooks, I have received permission to teach coding for the last part of the period. Can you image what critical thinking skills, problem-solving skills, and more importantly self-confidence my kids will learn.
