These students have no school library, as of yet, and little to no access to books or technology at home. Our school strives to increase scores in all content areas by offering an extended school day in a safe environment. Our school has 100% free and reduced lunch and runs an intervention program. In this classroom, we are preparing for a future built with technology and hands on work. Forming book clubs and reading groups will help form the community feel our classroom needs. Learning fluency, comprehension and accuracy increases scores in all content areas, not just ELA.
