If my project gets funded, it is going to mean something so special for my Kindergarten class. The things I am asking for include teaching manipulatives, books, and toys that are going to enhance my students life here at school, and open their eyes to greater things outside of school. I am requesting some classic story books for Classroom Read Alouds, which is such a special part of our day. I am asking for some Tweezer Tongs to help my students develop their fine motor skills. I am also requesting some hands-on Alphabet and Letter writing activities to help my students have fun learning their ABCs. Who doesn't remember their days in Kindergarten? Those are some of the best days of our lives. I want every one of my Kindergarten students to not only learn a lot, but I also want them to LOVE coming to school each day! Kindergarten is the foundation of their academic career where they will develop a love for learning. If my project is fully funded, the materials I have requested are going to help enrich my students learning and help my students feel excited to come to school each day. The STEM Educational Building toys, LEGOS, soft blocks, and Lincoln Logs are special things that most of my students don't have at home, and thus are things they look forward to playing with and exploring while at school. Play is such an important part of Early Learning Development as it helps with cognitive growth, social development, and physical development. Play also promotes mathematical thinking skills, language development, and helps reduce stress, which is exactly what all students need. I want our classroom to be a place where my students want to be, and a place where they have fun learning.
