Thank you for visiting our 1st grade class page! We currently have 17 amazing 6 and 7 year olds in our classroom who are very eager to grow as learners! They love hands on learning and working with partners! We use many math manipulative and games to instill basic number sense skills and continue their understanding of number relationships. They also love to sing songs to help remember new material. Reading aloud to my students is one of my favorite things! They are able to hear my love and passion for reading and they quickly pick-up on becoming fluent, expressive readers! They enjoy putting their skills to the test as they buddy read with one another. I absolutely LOVE teaching 1st grade and am so excited to get my students to reach their highest potential! Here's to an amazing school year with an amazing group of kiddos!
