We have only a few dictionaries available to students and some of them are woefully inadequate and incomplete. Students need to hone their research skills by using resource materials so they may better prepare themselves for college. These dictionaries also show word origins, which are part of the standards we are required to teach to students. While many facets of life are now done on the internet, students still need to know how to use resources that require them to think about their knowledge pursuit. The acquisition of these dictionaries will greatly enhance the research skills of these deserving students.
