Some people learn visually. Some need to listen carefully. Many of my students are tactile learners who need physical tools and manipulatives to help them understand new concepts. These learning aids will help my students in both reading and math and will provide the hands-on practice that so many of my learners need. The ten frames will be used in math to provide concrete examples of place value, and the letter tiles, magnets, and boards will be used to further solidify phonics concepts in reading. Plus, manipulatives are just way more engaging and exciting than boring old pencil and paper!
