I teach in a low poverty area with second language learners. My students are bright, energetic, and thoughtful. Some of these students have special needs as well. Despite their ability level, they come to school each day ready to learn. Besides teaching my homeroom class, I teach a 2 hour language arts class of students who are at least 2 years below grade level in reading. Having two more computers would help these students have more access to the many computer-based reading intervention programs that our school has. The students are always excited and motivated to learn using the computers.
