Our community is still reeling from the devastation of Hurricane Irma. While we will always be "Keys Strong", it is easy to see the impact the storm had on the students in our school. Through books our students are able to escape reality, at least for a little while. As teachers, we often spend more time with the students than their parents do, and the best way to help them heal is to love and support them, and read to them. I do not have much of a bilingual library, and I would love to start every lesson off with an engaging bilingual book. With a wide variety of bilingual books, I can choose a different book each week and tailor my lessons accordingly, incorporating the text as an introduction.
