I am pleading for able and willing, literature loving, education supporting friends, families and strangers to open their hearts and wallets to ensure that my students have what they need to engage through literature using thematic text. Thematic text has many benefits such as building students' background knowledge, expanding their horizons, learning basic skills such as left to right progression, building vocabulary, and bringing an open forum for them to have discussions surrounding our theme of the week. These themes will include transportation, all about me, seasons, weather, food and nutrition, and community helpers. Thank you in advance for your contribution to expanding the minds of my eager to learn little people!
