Our school consists of wonderful students who are college bound. Out of all the schools within our District, we have the highest percentage of multicultural students enrolled. On a community level, a large percentage of our families fall into the high poverty bracket. My 5th grade class consists of 19 boys and 11 girls of various cultures and belief systems. They are energetic, quizzical, and incredibly articulate. They have had their struggles, in past grade levels, and are finally learning to love reading! They have a wide range of interests and they are thriving on choosing books that they can identify with.
