This grant will provide our classroom with much needed hands-on learning supplies that will make learning fun, inviting, and challenging. Due to budget restraints, there are no funds available for materials such as these. These materials will have students actively engaged and learning exciting concepts while integrating multidisciplinary areas. Young children learn best through active, hands-on activities that have a common thread for them to make connections. Students will be able to use these materials to construct and meet engineering standards, learn exciting science concepts, and improve literacy skills with the reading material and writing opportunities this provides. This project will challenge the students to be more creative and work together to solve problems and meet goals in different ways by thinking, conferring, and working together.
