My students with Autism Disorder have sensory issues that cause wiggles, the need to take breaks throughout the day and to escape harsh lighting or hide in a cozy space. Wobble seats will help my students sit for longer intervals during table learning sessions. The beanbag chairs will help when students need a break from overstimulation. The cozy canopy will help when a student needs to be alone and hide away for a while. These flexible furniture items will help students learn self-regulation and how to deal with frazzled emotions. This skill will improve lifelong emotional outcomes and decrease behavior challenges.
