The Reading folder games from Lakeshore will provide my students with fun high-interest activities to participate in while I am working with guided reading groups or one-on-one with students. This will "give them something to do" that is fun and educational while it allows me to work with others that need help in a different area. It is also their time to practice the skills that have been previously taught in class. The Non-fiction reading games will provide the same type of instruction but with a non-fiction focus. The Finding Evidence Kits will help the students master the hard skill of finding text evidence and using that evidence to support the answer given to a question. These activities will tremendously help to prepare them for the state reading and writing assessments.
