The materials and supplies I am requesting will allow me to create a Makerspace in my library. During a Makespace day, my students will read instructions or an explanation of a problem that they must complete using Keva Structures, Engino Motors and Gears, Legos, Playdough, K'Nex, Zoob pieces and Qubits. I want my students to learn that knowing and understanding how to read is a cornerstone to their future. While reading books is important and fun, reading a recipe, a manual, instructions or a technological paper are just as important if not more important to their future success in life.

About my class
