With higher academic standards in place students will be using current issues of Junior Scholastic Magazines to help build critical thinking skills, vocabulary, and reading comprehension skills. Through using these techniques, students will start to gain the skills needed to become life-long learners. Having current issues will help to ignite an interest in both current topics and a passion for reading. Each issue offers a wide range of genre examples - perfect for creating a community of readers. These magazines will be used in my classroom to study how different types of writing can influence the world. Please help me to create a passion for learning!

About my class
