All children love to play games. Who wouldn't, right? In my Kindergarten classroom, I strive to make learning fun and memorable for all of my students. The more active I am able to make my lessons, the more effective they tend to be. I believe the math and literacy manipulatives that I listed will give my students a more active way to learn new things. For example, the Match It! games I have listed, will give the students a chance to work in independent groups or with me on skills such as upper and lower case letter recognition and sequencing. It's so important, especially this very first year of school, to make learning fun for the students, and what better way to do that than to bring out some games to play together. I believe these manipulatives will truly benefit my classroom, and I can't wait to post pictures of the ways we will be using them!
