My eighth-grade students come from a diverse community with various socio-economic backgrounds. Many of my students haven't had the opportunity to dissect organisms in their previous grade levels. One of the first questions the ask at the beginning of the school year is "Will we dissect anything?" My students look forward to the cow eye dissection all year long. I feel it necessary to make this experience possible for them. They will remember it throughout the remainder of the school year. They will soon be entering high school. The eye dissection will give them background experience and knowledge when they take Biology. Your donations will make it possible for my students to be exposed to animal dissection and also have a background knowledge of laboratory safety procedures.
