Our students would like to learn some therapeutic coping skills through hands on music projects and with instruments that are highly portable between our one room school house and the group home where they are living currently. The students at our school are provided crisis, shelter, and respite at a crucial time in their lives. Youth are involved in individual and group therapy. Shelter Care has a two level system to improve social, emotional, and behavioral outcomes. Through our school house and through Shelter Care a lasting difference is made in young people’s lives in times of crisis or transition. Through our school program we hope to continue to teach the students how to cope, learn, organize and be ready for the next stages in their lives.

About my class
