I'm requesting the alternative seating such as beanbags and backpatters because I want to transform their traditional classroom into a blended learning environment that provides a more personalized learning experience for each one of my students. Instead of just showing up to a classroom where they hear me deliver the content and teach all the skills they need to meet the standards for our curriculum. They will be the masters of their own learning destinies. By having a voice in their seating, activities, and resources to push their learning I am sure my students will continue to excel academically in the classroom. In the neighborhood I serve on the south side of Chicago my students deserve a environment conclusive to their learning. I want to create an environment for them that is learner centered where they have the option to choose tools and resources to support and push their learning.
