My students come to class everyday ready to learn and practice new skills. My students are working on mastering multiplication, division, fractions, cause and effect, making inferences, and understanding point of view. I provide a classroom environment that they feel safe to make mistakes in order to learn from them. Having rugs in my room will provide a comfortable space for my students to spread out or have space to collaborate. I have found that my students prefer to move around the room to do their work compared to staying in their seats. Having 2 different texture rugs in my class will provide various sensory work spaces for my students to thrive. I want to be able to provide my students a space they want to challenge themselves and master important skills needed to be prepared for 4th grade.
