My students expressed a need for a way to get moving in the classroom. We had an old Wii, but it did not use the latest programs and required the students to always use the controller. The students suggested bringing in their X-box units with the Kinect unit. This allows the students to interact without having a controller. We were not sure of this option because we did not want to get their things lost, stolen or damaged. The class thought that if we had a unit donated, we could keep it safe in the classroom for when we needed it. The students thought that the Xbox-1 would help the class to strengthen their bodies as well as their minds. They are very excited about having a system to use for indoor recess on days when it is too hot or wet outside. This helps our class fulfill state-mandated PE minutes no matter what the weather is like. The students thank you in advance for any assistance you provide in making their wish come true.
