When you are in pain it can be difficult to do anything, much less accomplish a challenging goal. As a PE teacher I want to instill life long physical fitness in my students. One of the biggest obstacles students face is muscle soreness and injury. Many students do not exercise regularly outside of school, so when they do in PE their muscles become very sore and fatigued. This soreness minimizes their participation and discourages them from living an active lifestyle. This project will give me the resources to teach as well as implement foam roller stations into the curriculum. This will not only reduce muscle soreness and injuries, but it will educate them on a new and incredible technique they can use throughout their lifetime. No longer will muscle soreness keep students from reaching their potential and living healthier and fuller lives.
