This project is for new singlets for the Roosevelt Wrestling team. Our old ones are still useable; however, our numbers are going up and we could use some new ones. This is not just for looks, but so we have enough all the students can go to tournaments. I find, and many teachers at this school would agree, that students involved in my program not only find success on the mat, but also in academics. Students behavior, commitment, and self esteem all were seen to increase as the year progressed. Students who are involved in something they believe in have a greater chance to succeed. At Roosevelt we deal with many at risk students. Any time we can give students the opportunity to belong to something that gives them pride in themselves, pride in their team, and pride in their school, I believe we cannot pass on that chance. Please join with me in helping these students.
