Technology has revolutionized the way we think, work, and play. Technology, when integrated into the curriculum, revolutionizes the learning process. Students are now expected to take their state tests on the computer and are expected to have typing skills and general computer knowledge, but with only 2 computers in our classroom, they do not have the opportunity to practice very often. More and more studies show that technology integration in the curriculum improves students' learning processes and outcomes. Technology and interactive multimedia are more conducive to project-based learning. Students are engaged in their learning using these powerful tools, and can become creators and critics instead of just consumers. I am asking for five Lollipop tablets, a color printer and additional toner so that my students can participate in project-based learning using technology and interactive multimedia. Students will use the tablets for research, writing and presentation. The printer is essential for printing drafts and final projects.
