Integrating arts in the middle school science classroom while incorporating technology and critical thinking makes for dynamic lessons! In the classroom students discover and then dance the differential rotation of the sun, eat from the 6 kingdoms and create Super heros from the elements chemical and physical properties!! Being able to effectively read and write non-fiction plays a major role in supporting students understanding of the world of science. Student at the school come from diverse backgrounds and almost 50% of them take dance classes. Movement with meaning is the goal. To reach all the students, there are choices they can make for them to engage in the science material. Differentiation provides the entry point for meaningful participation and understanding.
