My students struggle with spelling and writing sentences with detail using all 4 W's -who, what, when, where and how. The dry erase boards would afford them the opportunity to write, erase and make their sentences better. Many second graders have difficulty with memorizing math addition and subtraction facts. It is imperative they master these in second grade as a foundation for multiplication and division in third grade. All materials requested would allow for more practice in both of these areas. These materials would not only allow me to set up stations, but have students work individually, small groups or encourage repeated practice with a shoulder buddy.
