City budget cuts have drastically affected the resources that students and teachers have available in their classrooms. A classroom library makes it possible to have books easily available for students. This means that they'll have access to literature that might not be otherwise available. The classroom library provides a safe space for students to read in, or check out books if they choose to. The inviting, colorful, environment of my library will make my students comfortable reading in my classroom. It will provide a choice and a sense of ownership over what they read and that makes all the difference in their lives."
