Does the way a student is dressed impact how he feels? Is a child's academic effort impacted by her appearance? Can dressing professionally promote improved self-esteem and performance? We think YES! We believe that a student's effort, conduct and success can improve when that child looks and feels great. My second grade students will participate in DRESS FOR EXCELLENCE. One day each week, students will dress as professionals in the hopes of increased performance in grades, conduct and overall effort. Girls will wear navy skirts and white blouses. Boys will wear navy dress slacks, white dress shirts and neck ties. Community helpers will conduct a tie tying session for the boys. Students will look and feel great!
