These materials will assist me in creating an environment that is learner friendly and geared to student success. The ball chairs are great for a student that needs to bounce or wiggle a little in their chair. The resistance bands will be placed around the foot of desks or chairs. Students can rest their feet on the bands or bounce their legs. These materials are often used for students with ADD/ADHD but every student can benefit from having an outlet for extra energy. Not every student is the same so why do we expect every student to learn the say way? By giving the child a choice in their seating, you are giving the child ownership on their learning. Every child is different and these materials provide flexibility for the student to choose how they wish to learn. Giving a student a choice means they have a voice in the classroom. They are also children and children wiggle and fidget, these tools will help provide an outlet so they can focus on academics.
