My students and I are in need of a very large classroom rug. Even though they are third graders, my hope is to have them transition to rug time in order to minimize distractions during our core lessons! I also think just having students move from their desks to the rug will allow students to move around often which will help in keeping their focus! I plan on having student on the rug for my core lesson where there are no distractions. Once the lesson has been taught and modeling and instructions have been giving, they will transition back to their desk for application of lesson taught.
