I am a middle school science teacher in Denver. Most of our students come to us one to four years academically behind grade level, with 90% of them qualifying for free and reduced lunch. Previously, I coordinated volunteers for multiple rural school districts and helped rebuild education in New Orleans post Katrina. My goal is to help my students overcome learning challenges that result from repeated moves and interrupted education due to socio-economic circumstances by providing opportunities to explore the natural world around them and implement the use of technology in science, math and literacy. With your support, we are able to narrow the achievement gap and attain our goal that every child achieve academic excellence!
