I have a group of students who are extremely excited about reading. One way they are showing their enthusiasm about reading is by wanting to participate in state forums where they get a say in the books that receive the bluebonnet award. In order to vote for the books each student must read 5 of the books that are candidates for that year. My students have already decided that they want to write reviews to be read on the morning announcements about the books that on this list once they have read them. They hope that by sharing their thoughts on the books, they will inspire more students in our school to participate in reading them and voting.

About my class
