My students need their brain food! They come to me several times a day addressing their hunger. I have set a "snack time" during the school day, however some kids are unable to bring snacks from home. I try to provide for them, but I can't always do so. My students also leave school requesting snacks to take home with them. They tell me they do not get enough to eat at home and wish to take some extra for their siblings. If I had more snacks to provide for these kids, they could concentrate more with their academics and less on their hungry bellies.
