“One must always be careful of books," said Tessa, "and what is inside them, for words have the power to change us." ― Cassandra Clare, Clockwork Angel My intention and hope is to be able to add books to my classroom library that will attract even the pickiest of readers. All of my students WILL grab a book for reading time, but when it's a book they love...they can't grab it off the shelf fast enough, as though claiming it as their own. When I see that by having that book on my shelf has provided a student with the opportunity to get so wrapped up in a story, possibly even moved or inspired, I can't help but smile. I want to make that opportunity available to all of my students. In order to do so, I need this assortment of books that will hopefully appeal to all of my students, not just the avid readers.
