I support students across all the elementary schools and the high school in my district. A need that has been expressed by teachers and students alike is having a Calm Down Tool Kit in the classroom. This request would not be enough for all the classrooms I serve but it would be a good start. I would then work with the students and their teachers at practicing using the tool kits to make them most effective. The students in Jennings, MO often come to school with high traumatic stress and need supports in the classroom when their anxiety gets high.
