These headsets will help my students is three ways. First, it will help to improve their reading. When they hear themselves read, it helps them to make corrections to fluency, accuracy, and intonation. Secondly, It will free up classroom time and allow for more one on one support for each student. Making the time in class to listen to each student read is difficult. The headsets will give me the opportunity to go back and listen to them later and get a good assessment of their progress. Thirdly, when student are all reading at the same time it can cause a lot of noise which can be distracting to both the students and the teacher. The headphones will allow for the students to tune out the noise around them and really focus on their reading. My students LOVE to hear themselves read and they get so excited to hear their voice which in turn makes them excited about reading!
