Being a small, rural school with a large population of low socioeconomic families and makes it difficult to justify spending money on certain items. These sensory tools, iPads and the workstation bike will provide a place for students who might need a place to work while working out some of their frustrations, anxiety, or extra energy. As the counselor, I see the daily struggles many of our students face whether it be anxiety, frustration or a simple need to release energy in a positive way. These supplies will encourage a more productive day for many students throughout the school day; those in the classroom and those who might just need a private area to work in the school that is safe and comfortable.
