In order for my students to be college and career ready, they need to be technologically competent. However, many of my students do not have regular access to computers or the internet at home. That is why it is vitally important for me to provide them opportunities to learn, create, collaborate, experiment, and design through various technological platforms. I am requesting 2 iPads and 4 Kindles to address this need in my classroom. The requested devices will be used across the curriculum in math, science, and ELA. Specifically, these devices will be used for online math and science simulations, multimedia projects and presentations, research, collaborative learning experiences, interactive assessments, coding, differentiated instruction, and skill based practice. The advantage of handheld devices is that they provide mobility in learning environments, fully engage the students, are user friendly, and easily allow for collaborative learning,
