I am Jennifer Allen.First, I would like to say "THANK YOU" to all of the donors who graciously contribute to the brightest minds entering the 21st century! I teach ESL, Journalism, and Reading at Miami Central Senior High School (home of the Rockets!) in Miami, Florida. Our student body is composed of kids with eager minds and bright futures. In order to nurture those minds and provide them the opportunity to compete globally, additional resources are necessary. My students face challenges each day that hinder their education: hunger, homelessness or displaced living, and poverty. As an educator, it is not only my job to help them analyze complex texts, but to feed them, make sure that they have a place to live, and provide a safe and stable environment. These children have taught me so many things about the world in which they live; that world is our world. I am passionate about guiding America's youth.
