Hi there! Do you want to help to instill a lifelong love of reading and a passion for books in children? Well, it's one of the reasons that I went into teaching! And now six years later, I am amazed at how excited my students are when we learn about new authors or when I have new books to add to our library. You could be a part of that excitement! With your generous donation, my students will enjoy reading in a comfy, cozy reading nook in our school. We have an incredible reading space but it has no furniture. I teach 25 bright and beautiful scholars in a high need area of New York City. Most of my students receive free or reduced-price lunch and are so eager to learn every day. Unfortunately, my students do not always have a quiet, comfortable spot to read at home. I would love to create a reading nook in my school so that they will be more motivated to read. The bean bags will help to make students look forward to opening a book in such a neat environment. I also want to provide some engaging and high interest chapter books for my voracious readers. Books such as Elephant and Piggie and Pigeon Wants a Cookie will inspire them to read all day long! Your donation will help to foster a love of learning and reading. With your help, I can provide my students with the opportunity to curl up with a good book and read their hearts out!
