The middle school students I teach are 100% Navajo by ethnicity and live within the Navajo reservation. They have such an outstanding culture to which they belong, one that has had harsh struggles with education in the past but is continually making strides in improving the quality and value of this education in the lives of its children. The median income for families in this area is $12,596, and the district we are a part of is severely underfunded. The students have outstanding hearts and potential, and need only the gracious help of others to provide them with the same set of resources and supplies that are enjoyed by other students across the country.

About my class
