Let my mini teachers take the wheel! The Dry Erase lapboards will allow my students to hold the pencil, to not only the class, but to their OWN story. My students come from backgrounds where it can be difficult to buy a notebook or lose leaf pack of paper every week. Math requires constant practice and problem solving with visuals. My mathematicians will benefit from being able to get the real life teacher board experience. The minimal distraction of breaking or sharpening pencils would be eliminated so that every second in MATH COUNTS! The Magnetic Basic Math Skills manipulative sets, Interlocking Gram Unit Cubes, Foam Fraction Circles, Magnetic Rainbow Fraction Tiles, a Fraction Tower Activity Set and Fraction Bars Curriculum Cut-Outs are to help my visual learners, which is 88% of my classes. My students benefit so much more when they can physically divide word problems or see the relationship between fractions. This will allow my students to not just memorize a skill but also take it on to the real world. And lastly the Sharp Electronics scientific calculators will help my students on their Florida State Assessment since it is a timed exam where calculators can save my students a lot of time if they plug in that three-digit multiplication question. It is to retrieve the answer faster, but still understanding the steps and which mathematical operation to apply. I am certain my students will excel much greater with these materials.
