My students are a wonderful group of young people. They are eager to learn and are interested in the projects we have done this year. They are excited for what we still have to accomplish. They are in 3rd grade and are experiencing a few firsts this year including grades and end of grade state tests. This is a transition year for students with many new types of learning opportunities. Even with these new things, I have parents say to me that their child couldn't wait to come back to school after a break. Our school is a wonderful and safe place. We are a smaller school with only about 350 students in all. We are in a coastal community and experience a lot of transient residents.
